Steven Mears supports Alzheimer’s Society

The team from Steven Mears Funeral Directors has hosted a cupcake day to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Funeral Arranger Rebecca Gledhill baked the delicious cakes which were sold at the Sydenham branch and Funeral Director Bobby Maull-Robinson hosted the event alongside Funeral Arranger Chanel Walters.

Residents and staff from Pear Tree, Fairmount and Elizabeth Peter residential care homes popped into the branch to enjoy a cake and a cuppa with the team.

Bobby said: “We have a great relationship with the local care homes and this was a nice way to have a catch up with some of the carers and a day out for a few of the residents. After the event myself and Katie Maull-Robinson from A Yeatman and Sons Funeral Directors took a trip to the care homes and delivered cupcakes to the residents who weren’t able to make it to the branch.

“It was a lovely day raising money for Alzheimer’s Society. The work this charity does is so important, and we want to do anything we can to help.”

Alzheimer’s Society provides care and support to people with dementia, their families, friends and carers. It is the only UK charity investing in research into dementia care, cause, cure and prevention.
