Steven Mears Funeral Directors have provided funeral services to the South East London and Kent area since 1994.
The teams at our Sydenham, Lewisham and Beckenham funeral homes will provide advice at every stage of the funeral planning process, and will arrange an individual and unique funeral to help you celebrate the life of your loved one. Our Sydenham funeral home has its own service venue.
Here at Steven Mears Funeral Directors we also offer an affordable prepaid funeral plan, Choice, so that you can arrange and pay for a funeral in advance. This will protect your family from rising costs and remove uncertainty about your wishes.
If you would like to talk to us about planning a funeral, or our Choice plan, please come and see us in any of our funeral homes, or if you’d rather we can arrange a home visit. We’re also available 24 hours a day on the phone so if you need anything please don’t hesitate to call your local funeral home.
Funeral Arranger
Jacqueline has been with Steven Mears Funeral Directors since 2016, having previously worked as a Witness Care Officer for the Metropolitan Police.
Jacqueline says she most enjoys “helping grieving families cope with their loss and the feeling of satisfaction when the worse day of their lives has run the way they wished for their loved ones.”
She says “learning to drive was my biggest achievement, but also giving up smoking, thus enabling myself to enjoy my many adventures like scuba diving & a few other daring thrills.”
She likes travel, swimming, theatre and socialising.
Masonry Support
Sherry has been with Steven Mears Funeral Directors since 2013, having previously worked as a nursery nurse/nanny for 14 years.
Sherry says she most enjoys “supporting families and helping them create the perfect day for their loved ones and knowing I have made an awful time in their lives easier in any way. It’s one of the best parts of my job.”
She has an NVQ in Level 3 Child Care and a SENco certificate which enabled her to co-ordinate and help the children who had extra needs in her care.
She likes reading, baking (she makes the most amazing chocolate brownies!) and family time. “There’s nothing better than spending the day with the people I love.”
